In China she not only taught early childhood learners but she also did a lot of research regarding the early childhood education system in China. In the article she explains many aspects of the Chinese early childhood programs and also compares certain aspects to the American early childhood education system. She breaks her findings into sections such as curriculum, types, schedule, teaching methods, etc. Her point being other countries value early childhood education and early childhood education can be taught in different ways while teaching us about China. After reading the article I am better able to see a different point of view on early childhood education. Also I can see that other countries value early childhood education as I do and as America does.

Vaughan, JoAn.

The author of this article has a PhD. and is a clinical psychologist. She has eight years experience in early childhood policy and program development and consultations. In this article she is writing about Latino students in the early childhood education system. I believe that a lot of what she is saying relates to all children and not just specifically Latinos. Some of her points are critical to all students but she stresses the importance for Latino students. She discusses higher education and to succeed in higher education early childhood education is extremely important. After reading this article I am more aware of the challenges that students have and overcome regarding their ethnicity. As I said, early childhood education is important for all students but reading the stress factors on Latino children I am more aware of extra challenges.
